i hope that made as much sense as i wanted it too lol
i have had this story up here before, but for one reason and then another, its gone ...

The Journal Of A Huntress
ONE
Five years.
Hard to believe sometimes, that its been that long since I saw him last.
But I can still taste him on my lips. I can still feel his body against mine. I can still remember.
So many times, I catch a glimpse of someone who reminds me even more.
Tonight was one of those nights.
He was beautiful really, and so much like Kodi it made my heart ache.
I saw him first in the parking lot, of a grocery store of all places. A small place, one you would expect to find at the foot of a mountain in small town. The kind that sells products in bulk because so many of the people live so far from town they only come in to shop once every few months.
As I sit in the jeep, watching him hefting groceries into the bed of his old Ford, watching his muscle ripple underneath his white teeshirt, I feel it. It has been a while, for many things, and this definently looks like a man that could satiate many hungers, even mine.
Running my tongue across my teeth to appease the itch, I climb out of the jeep and walk towards him.
"Well, " I say, words stained with desire, "I can see I don't need to offer to help YOU."
He turns to see who has spoken to him, and I cant help but smile when I see the expression on his face. He is quite pleased with what he sees, and so am I. Up close, he is even more wonderful.
"Not with my groceries," he says, leaning back against his truck and propping one elbow against, "but you can keep me company for a beer or two if you like?"
He reminded me even MORE of Kodi when he smiled. Big, broad smile, that made his whole face light up. I was going to enjoy this.
He was, thankfully, NOT the type to drink too much. In fact, we had a rather nice "date" as it were. He took me to the smaller of the two bars in town and apparently he was well known there. The waitress greeted him by name and with a big, overly flirtatious smile. We sat in a dark booth at the back of the bar and talked for a long time before he asked me to dance. The song was slow and rhythmic and he held me close as we moved in time. His lips close to my ear, but he didnt speak, he just hummed low and soft and it reminded me so of how Kodi used to almost purr sometimes when we..... well, thats for another time. As the song ended, he found his courage, and as he started to pull away from our dancing embrace, he kissed me. Just a short, sweet kiss, his tongue dancing just across my lips, and then he was smiling at me as he took my hand and led me back to the dark booth, sitting this time beside me instead of across from me. When we sat, i gingerly,almost demurely, placed my hand on his thigh, and smiled up at him. Sometimes the hunt is SO much fun.
I knew from our talking that he lived about an hour from town, and he knew that I was just a visitor, staying at the local motel while on a "road trip" to clear my head after a bad break-up, one of my more favored and most used lines. It was around midnight, when he said he needed to head home, because he had to get some sleep. He would have to be back in town early in the morning for work. He took me back to my jeep, and in the parking lot of the grocery store, I made my intentions clear. well... sort of.
"You know, you would be able to sleep a little longer in the morning, if you didnt have to drive all the way home now, and then all the way back to town in the morning.
Wrapping his large arms around me, and pulling me with him as he leaned against the passengers door of his truck, he asked with a smile...
"And where would you suggest that I sleep?"
"I hear theres a half way decent motel in town, and I just happen to have a key to a room, way in the back." I smiled back.
He pulled me even closer, and kissed me hard, and pressed against my thigh, was the answer to my offer.
We left his truck there, in the grocery store parking lot.

The sun wasn't even up yet, as I closed the motel room door, and fumbled in the front pocket of my jeans for the keys to the Jeep. With a quick glance, I saw no one near as I climbed into the jeep and started it up. The last thing i saw as I backed out of the parking spot, was the DO NOT DISTURB sign I had left on the motel room door, assuring that he wouldnt be found until at least 11, when some poor hapless maid was going to peek in to see if anyone needed towels and such. Oh he needed towels alright.
He may have carried himself somewhat like Kodi. He may have reminded me of Kodi. But he couldn't fuck like Kodi, and his blood wasn't near as sweet.
His name had been Greg. Had being the operative word here.
